CONSTRUCTION NOTES

Van Allen Construction is always trying to deliver a superior job and a solid client relationship. We will always
take the extra step to make the job right and the customer happy. We think of the finer details that tend to get
lost in the shuffle with other construction companies. We have the ability to build you what ever size home
you desire from 10,000 s.f. to 1,000 s.f., what ever size you want.

Below are just a few construction notes we follow:
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
“Jason  is extremely knowledgeable at
building!. He has made the process as
painless as possible. I  would never hire
anyone else.”

FOUNDATION, VENT & DRAINS

All of the foundation walls we do are all 10"
thick minimum. We will have your foundation
water proofed using a spray on rubber not
tar.
THE FRAMING AND THE
ROUGHS
The rough framing is done with 2x6s
exterior wall studs not 2x4s.  The
structures are all designed for high
wind loads
(depending upon your area).
We typically use "I joists" for the floors;
found to be much more rigid than
conventional lumber.  We also use
ZIP
system
building products for our roofs
and walls.  We are always striving to
stay on top of the best products out
there. Most of the products we use are
considered "
GREEN BUILDING"
materials.
DETAILED MASONRY IF
REQUESTED

Shown here is a picture of a chimney
that has been corbeled out and
indented for detail.  We  can create
almost any chimney design you want.
TO A TURNKEY HOME OR ADDITION
SITE WORK

We usually prepare the hole  bottom with 3/4"
trap rock and provide a interior and exterior
footing drains. In addition to that we will
usually tie in a radon vent if applicable. Only
on site that display any large out croppings
of  rocks this is a sign of radon presence.

This is something that is not common practice
but Van Allen Construction adheres to.

"Looking out for the welfare of our
clients."
